Embodied Intelligence Empowers Smart Manufacturing Training Held at Xi'an Intelligent Remanufacturing Research Institute
To thoroughly implement the "Opinions on Deepening the 'AI+' Initiative" and the deployment requirements of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee regarding "promoting the deep integration of artificial intelligence with the real economy," to advance the transformation of our province's manufacturing sector towards intelligent, green, and integrated development, and to accelerate technological application and industry-academia-research collaboration, the "Embodied Intelligence Empowers Smart Manufacturing: Innovation Application and Practice Training Course" was held from December 2nd to 3rd. The event was hosted by the Shaanxi Federation of Economy and undertaken by the Xi'an Advanced Manufacturing Association.

As the Shaanxi Provincial Intelligent Remanufacturing Innovation Center, the Xi'an Intelligent Remanufacturing Research Institute hosted this event and showcased advanced intelligent remanufacturing research achievements for principals, technical engineers, and relevant management personnel from manufacturing enterprises across the province.

This training targeted manufacturing enterprises, universities, and research institutions across the province, aiming to help relevant organizations gain an in-depth understanding of the application paths of cutting-edge technologies such as embodied intelligence, digital twins, and intelligent sensors in industrial scenarios, and to promote the integrated development of smart manufacturing and remanufacturing technologies. The two-day training covered key topics including the integrated application of embodied intelligence and digital twins, robot additive manufacturing and online monitoring, intelligent additive remanufacturing technology, the construction of digital-intelligent factories, and the application of intelligent sensors. Instructors included industry experts from institutions such as Xidian University, Northwestern Polytechnical University, and the Xi'an Intelligent Remanufacturing Research Institute, including Wang Chunchang, Director of the Xi'an Intelligent Remanufacturing Research Institute; Professor Liu Yongkui from Xidian University; and Associate Professor Yuan Shangqin from Northwestern Polytechnical University, who provided in-depth explanations based on theoretical and practical experience.

During the training, participants also conducted field visits to the research institute's intelligent remanufacturing exhibition area and pilot-scale testing base, gaining a close-up understanding of the demonstration applications and industrial implementation of intelligent remanufacturing technologies in fields such as petroleum machinery, mining equipment, and rail transit. These visits attracted widespread attention from the attendees.
Relying on the QinChuang Yuan innovation-driven platform, the Xi'an Intelligent Remanufacturing Research Institute has formed a high-level team led by academicians and composed of dozens of experts and young researchers. The team is long committed to R&D and industrial application in fields such as materials science, mechanical engineering, and surface engineering. Director Wang Chunchang, a leading industrial talent under Shaanxi's "Special Support Plan," has over 20 years of experience in metal surface protection and additive remanufacturing, leading the team to complete numerous national and provincial key R&D projects.
The Xi'an Intelligent Remanufacturing Research Institute focuses on two major sectors: intelligent remanufacturing equipment and composite additive manufacturing. It drives technological breakthroughs and equipment innovation centered around five core research directions: intelligent disassembly, intelligent inspection, intelligent composite additive manufacturing, intelligent composite welding, and intelligent subtractive manufacturing. By creating a "AI + Remanufacturing" digital platform, it promotes the industry's transition towards technology-intensive practices, providing full-chain solutions to achieve efficiency gains, cost reduction, and quality assurance.

In the future, the research institute will continue to deepen the integration of "AI + Remanufacturing," improve its full-chain services, accelerate the commercialization of research results, and collaborate with all parties to promote the deep integration of intelligent technology and manufacturing. It aims to contribute to the intelligent and green upgrade of Shaanxi's manufacturing and remanufacturing industries, and to the building of a modern industrial system.
